4. What show/book/movie etc was your comfort and/or escape this year?

I watched A LOT of telly this year. Netflix truly was my comfort and escape at the beginning of lockdown when I was feeling pretty low. I rewatched a couple of old favourites; Friends, Gilmore Girls, Musketeers, Downton Abbey, Death in Paradise, Fawlty Towers, Good Omens... I could go on for ever, I literally spent 24/7 watching Netflix during April, May and June (didn't sink low enough to rewatch Glee though, thank god 🙈)

I aslo found some new shows I now love, Medici being the main one, I watched this three times in the space of two months! It's got Richard Madden and then Bradley James, all set in Renaissance Italy, what's not to like!?

My comfort books are Harry Potter, I don't know how many times I reread them this year, sometimes cover to cover sometimes just snippets here and there. Also everything by Tamora Pierce and anything by Terry Pratchett. And my new favourite; The Riyria Revelations by Michael J Sullivan, those are fantastic books and really did a lot to cheer me up!

Also my favourite radio show Cabin Pressure and my podcast No Such Thing As A Fish. These made me laugh out loud when five minutes before I had been trying not to cry.

I didn't watch any movies though... Because although I can watch a tv series for, well as long as it takes to binge the whole series in one go, I can't focus on a two hour movie. Don't ask why, I'm weird like that.

But most importantly, the show that started as comfort then became my escape and my joy and my freedom and truly was the thing that kicked me into the happiest I have been all year... you guessed it. MERLIN! I rewatched it, I rewatched it again, and then I decided to write a few silly little ficlets about that lovable group of idiots. And then I returned to tumblr and found out the fandom was still sooo active, and I wrote for some challenges and I talked to some other fans and well... The rest is history!! Thank you Merlin fandom for being so incredibly awesome.

Anyway...

14. What do you want to do more of next year?

I already answered this one, but specifically for you grem, I want to write more Lancelot whump, more Elyan, more Leon caring for everyone, more Percival and Lancelot backstory, more Gwaincelot, more knights being awesome and lovely. More tenderness and hair stroking. And more smut 😉. Love ya, m'dear!

You put so much hard work into all your muses and take the time to think and get to know them intimately in ways that I never could- it's SUCH an exhausting undertaking to switch between muses and wear completely different shoes and ideas and experiences and you do SUCH a good job of that!!! it was love kiran hour, so it makes my heart melt that youd bring me love when it is written in law that it is the time of day for loving on kiran and squishing you with all of our nasty ooey gooey hearts. but really, thank you so much for coming in here with love that i can slather my wormy body in, because i really do appreciate it; and i know that i’m not the best, but hearing you compliment me makes my heart throb !  i really do mean it when i say that you have more passion for your oc than a lot of people have for many things, and it makes me happy that you’ve poured so much into crea.
